Berluti is a company that manufactures and retails shoes and boots solely for men. It is known for its unique leather finishing. It also makes and sells a line of leather goods such as belts, bags, and wallets with similar finish. It is based in Paris on rue Marbeuf.

History

Berluti was founded in 1895 by Italian Alessandro Berluti, and is now run by Olga Squeri (also known as Olga Berluti).[1] The LVMH group acquired Berluti in 1993.

Berluti launched its first prêt-à-porter collections in 2012, and acquired Paris tailor Arny's the same year.

Current status

Berluti is headed since 2012 by LVMH's CEO Bernard Arnault's son, Antoine Arnault. In March 2014, Isabella Capece Galeota became director of image and communications.[2]

The brand has very limited distribution—in the US it can only be found at their New York and Miami stores, while in Europe it is limited to seven Berluti boutiques, along with an additional six in the Middle East and 25 in Asia.

Clientele

Past clients include Elizabeth Arden, Robert De Niro, Andy Warhol, Gérard Depardieu, Yves Saint Laurent, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bryan Ferry.
