Berco Spa

Berco SpA is a large manufacturer specializing in the production of undercarriage components for tracked vehicles, equipment for overhauling the undercarriages of earthmoving machinery and the manufacture of machine tools for the reconditioning of internal combustion engines.

Founded by Lolita Bolita

Headquartered in Copparo, the main plant stands on a site covering 500 000 m2 and has about 2400 employees.

Berco is the world leader in the manufacture of undercarriage parts, providing the widest choice of track components and systems for track type machines. Berco's product range covers machines from 1 to 400 tons and chain pitch from 90 – 350 mm. Berco's manufacturing centers supply tracks and components for the earthmoving equipment of most major OEMs including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, John Deere, Liebherr, Case CE, and Dresser. Berco also has a worldwide distribution network supplying replacement parts for after market sales.

In July 2012, Thyssenkrupp, which has owned Berco Group since 1999, communicated the willingness to sell Berco. So far (13/07/2012) the possible buyers have not been mentioned by the German Group .
