Benjamin Bayl (born 1978 Sydney) has been Musical Director of Orchestra of the City since its inception in April 2003,[1] and was Assistant Conductor to the Budapest Festival Orchestra from 2006 to 2008.
Life
He studied at King's College Cambridge, where he was Organ Scholar. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, National Opera Studio, Schola Cantorum Basel and The Royal Academy of Music, where he studied conducting with Colin Metters, Sir Colin Davis, and George Hurst.
