Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, Durgapur is a coeducational, private college located in Durgapur, West Bengal, India. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering and Technology. The college was set up by the SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2001. The Ex Chief minister of West Bengal, Shri Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and other Ministers and dignitaries such as Late Mrinal Banerjee, Shri Banso Gopal Choudhury, Late Subhash Chakraborty, Shri Surya Kanta Misra have visited the college campus. It is located in Bidhan Nagar, a locality in Durgapur.

Accreditation and affiliation

Bengal College of Engineering & Technology is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), under Ministry of HRD, the Government of India and is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). It is recognized by the Government of West Bengal.

The Bengal College of Engineering and Technology was set up by the SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2001 with an objective of imparting education in Engineering and Technology. The aim of the College has been to maintain a liaison with the industries on one hand and engineering institutions of the region (like the IIT {Kharagpur}, NIT {Durgapur}, CMERI { Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur} , ISI {Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata}, Jadavpur University {Kolkata} ) on the other. The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE-New Delhi), under Ministry of HRD, the Govt. of India and is Affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). It is recognised by the Govt. of West Bengal.
