Ben Kinney is an entrepreneur, professional speaker, author and real estate agent with Keller Williams in Bellingham, Washington.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] He is listed in The Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends' top 1,000 agents for 2011-2014.[9][10][11][12] He was the top ranked agent in Washington state in transactional volume for the years 2012 and 2013.[10][11]
Kinney is the founder of NVNTD, Home4Investment and a co-founder of Brivity.[5][6][13][14] In 2013, NVNTD purchased Big Fresh Media and Tech Help.[5]
Early life
Kinney grew up in a cabin between Bellingham, Washington and Seattle, Washington with his father, who was a fly fishing guide.[3] He worked as a cable television installer while attending college.[3] He later became a cable salesman.[3]
Career
Kinney became a full-time real estate agent in 2005.[3] Kinney developed the curriculum for an online real estate course.[15] He sold the curriculum to a company acquired by Trulia, but continued to teach classes. Kinney created two real estate websites, Brivity and Blossor.[15][16] He was named the 2014 Innovator of the Year by Inman News.[17]
Publications
Kinney co-authored Soci@l, an ebook published by Rellek Publishing Partners, with Jay Papasan.[2][18] Soci@l won a bronze award at the 2011 National Association of Real Estate Editors competition.[18]
