Belinda Rio (born July 11, 1971) is an emerging R&B singer song writer, finalist of the 2005 World Showcase singing and talent competition held at the MGM Grand Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2007, she relocated to Atlanta, where she is currently working on new songs for her debut album.

Early years

Belinda Ramos was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is the youngest of three children. She was raised in a religious household, and her first performing experience was singing as a little girl in church. In 1989, Belinda and family relocated to Florida where she has been active in community service as a church music leader, and soccer coach. In 2004, she began studding music, piano and vocals to launch her professional singing career.

Music career

The Competition (2005)

In 2005, Belinda was selected to represent Florida at the 2005 World Showcase held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. She made it to the finals of the competition which aired on the PAX Television network January 2006.

On Her Own in Atlanta

Committed to her passion, Belinda and family entered the independent music industry taking on all aspects of the music business with little outside assistance. Her first Florida tour was managed and promoted by her husband/manager Andrew Anguelo. Belinda and company relocated to Atlanta to be closer to the R&B scene and continue working on her music and debut album.

Touch Me Now Single

On July 4, 2006, BRM Entertainment released Belinda’s first single CD "Touch Me Now", containing her first original compositions "Touch Me Now", "Player", "We Got a Good Thing", and "Cotton Candy".
