Station approach in 1963

Bedwyn railway station is a railway station in the village of Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire, England. It is also, along with Pewsey, a station for the market town of Marlborough 6 miles (10 km) away. A bus from the town connects with most trains on Mondays to Saturdays.

Facilities

The station has basic facilities including a bus-type shelter on both sides and information screens. The only crossing between platforms is via the road bridge that crosses the railway.

Services

The station is served by local services operated by First Great Western to and from London Paddington via Reading and Newbury. Local trains terminate at Bedwyn, and the station has a crossover and siding at the west of the station where they reverse. The station is also served by InterCity 125s that continue to Exeter St Davids and Taunton. As there are two tracks and trains serve a long distance, minor stops such as Bedwyn are alternated by most stopping services.
