Beau Riedel (born November 19, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played one season in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

Playing career

Riedel played for three teams during the 1996–97 ECHL season.

After brief stops in Huntington and Wheeling, Riedel signed with the Johnstown Chiefs on December 30, 1996.[1] Riedel finished the season as the starting goaltender of the Johnstown Chiefs, going 9-12-4 in 27 games. As a member of the Chiefs, Riedel signed a tryout contract with the Hershey Bears of the AHL on January 29, 1997,[2] but did not see any ice time with the team.

Riedel broke the Chiefs single-game save record by recording 61 saves in a game against the Louisville Riverfrogs in March 1997, a record that he would hold for seven seasons. David Currie broke the record in April 2004 with a 62 save performance against the Reading Royals[3]

Personal

Riedel is the owner of Rock Bottom Hard Landscaping, a custom landscaping company that was established in 1998 in his hometown of Calgary.[4]
