Bazinama

Bazinama is the first video game magazine in Iran which have been published since 2002 with the efforts of a group of young people who were interested in this new industry. At that time brand of Bazinama just represented as a video game magazine, but today Bazinama works on other aspects of gaming industry such as its popular video game portal and designing some casual video games.^[1]

History

The first issue of Bazinama launched with donyaye narmafzar title by Nariman Faramarzi in 2002. After the 4th issue and while the magazine was published every two months, Omid Mehdipour and Farhad Karimi joined the editorial team of the magazine. After 12th issue, Omid Mehdipour left the magazine and Mahmoud Beladi, who had some resume on video game magazines, was appointed as deputy editor, But after the 18th issue he left the group and Bazinama encountered some changes again. Farjam Koliyayi A.K.A "babaye barbod" or "Barbod’s dad" had some activities for about 10 issues in Bazinama (from issue 24 to 34) and after that "Vahid Yousefi" who was in charge of the art direction of Bazinama since its very first issues, continued his career in Bazinama as the executive editor. Meanwhile "Mohammad Mirzaei" started his career in the magazine as Deputy editor. During these years Bazinama publishing under the presidency of editorial council, which has Mohammad Mirzaei and Vahid Youssefi on board.

News

This part consists of the latest news and rumors about the gaming world.

Review

This section is about reviewing latest released games. Bazinama ethics and manner of reviewing the games have changed, current scores are from 0 to 10 and every review express good and bad point of each part of game independently.

Preview

At this part of magazine, author write about feature of games that will release soon also there is a pictorial part in there.

Entertainment

A part of the magazine, which introduce you new ways of entertaining. At this section you can't find any sign about video gaming.

Hardware

Introducing and reviewing the latest PC hardwares and console accessories is the main goal of this section.

There are times that gaming world encounter great and international events like Electronic Entertainment Expo or Tokyo Game Show Bazinama magazine publishes an extra coverage issue just for each of these events every year. It includes two optional DVDs, including HD game trailers, some playable game demos and also every issue of Bazinama has wallpaper of latest games.

Website

A Bazinama’s website created in order to having closer communication with its fans, while the web site was not old enough in comparison with other gaming websites, it gained attention of Iran’s gaming population sooner than it expected .It starts its activity with a forum and its main page but after a while more options added to Bazinama’s website. Currently it has more than 100,000 members and considered as the greatest gaming web site in Islamic republic of Iran and the middle east.

Worldwide Goals

We can mention Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Valve Corporation, Bethesda Softworks and Activision as those game companies which Bazinama get some artworks, articles and covers from them exclusively. Bzinama’s Co-Operation with Bethesda studio goes back to Games Convention 2008 expo. Some examples of this co-operations are:

2. Exclusive preview of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for 64th issue of the magazine
