Bayan Baru

Bayan Baru is a township located in Penang, Malaysia. The town is located near Bayan Lepas, where the Penang International Airport is located. It is next to the Bayan Lepas Free Trade Zone. The town is part of the Penang Cybercity Phase 1, which was obtained in 2005. The town features the Pantai Mutiara Hospital, Giant Hypermarket, Penang International Sports Arena, and Sunshine Square. The Postcode of Bayan Baru is 11950. The first MSC designated building outside Klang Valley, Suntech @ Penang Cybercity is also located here. Bayan Baru also has three government Malay schools. They are SK Seri Permai, SMK Raja Tun Uda, and SK Bayan Baru.

Bayan Baru has a roundabout for the travellers to turn to their directions to. One side travellers will go to Snake Temple, right turn people will go to Sungai Nibong and go straight people will be going to PISA. This roundabouts is also a well known roundabouts in Penang Island. There is also an elevated highway was built in the township which is linking Bayan Lepas and Sungai Nibong. The elevated was completed in Bayan Baru in 2006 after capital Kuala Lumpur. The highway is a highway that the travellers can travel on the long crossing bottom flyover to reduce stopping at traffic lights. Meanwhile, the second elevated highway in Penang is also had been under constructed now. This new highway will bring the travellers to travel on the high top road to and from the new Penang Bridge, Jelutong, Air Itam, and George Town. This project will be completed after Chinese New Year 2015.

The parliament constituency of Bayan Baru includes N35 Batu Uban, N36 Pantai Jerejak, and N37 Batu Maung.

Bayan Baru has the Fire Brigade Station, Police Station and the Community Clinic side to side while Pantai Hospital is opposite the SMK Raja Tun Uda and just beside the Giant. Besides, there are few commercial banks opposite the Giant Supermarket as well as along the road to Sungai Ara.

Bayan Baru has spots that are famous for food like "Char Koay Teow" and food court beside the Bayan Baru Market. In the food court, a lot of choices of hawkers food and one of them is 'Nasi Ayam Misai'.
