Bathabile Dlamini is a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress, Dlamini is a member of the National Assembly and was chosen by President Jacob Zuma as the Minister of Social Development in 2010. From 2008-10, Dlamini was the Deputy Minister of Social Development under interim President Kgalema Motlanthe and the Jacob Zuma's first cabinet.[2]
In 2006, Dlamini was one of 14 African National Congress MPs who were convicted and fined after pleading guilty to theft and fraud charges stemming from abuse of parliamentary travel vouchers. Dlamini pleaded guilty to fraud involving an amount of R254 000.[3]
