Basket Club Ferrara was an Italian professional basketball team from the town of Ferrara. The club was established in 1999, and dissolved in 2011 after the team was sold and Basketball Bologna was established. For past club sponsorship names, see the list below.
History
Ferrara won the 2007-08 championship of the Italian second-division, the LegADue. The club was then promoted to the Italian First Division for the 2008-09 season.
After a 2010–11 season in which Ferrara took the 14th place in the First Division, owner Roberto Mascellani sold the team and Basketball Bologna was established. A new (amateur) team for Ferrara was also founded, named Basketball Ferrara 2011.
