Baruwal (Nepali: बरुवाल) is a Khas Chhetri surname found in people from Nepal. Majority of Baruwal are found in Myagdi, Parbat and other Mid-Western dirstricts of Nepal. Although some of them now re-side in major cities of Nepal or even abroad. Baruwals have a tradition of worshiping Bindyabashini; their kul-deuta or kul-devata (ancestral deity) at annual lineage gatherings.
