Barrah bint Abdul Muttalib

Barrah bint Abdulmuttalib was an aunt of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

She was born in Mecca, the daughter of Abdulmuttalib ibn Hashim and Fatimah bint Amr al-Makhzumiya.[1][2]

Her first husband was Abdulasad ibn Hilal,[2] a member of the Makhzum clan of the Quraysh. Their son was Abdullah, later known as Abu Salama.[3]

Her second husband was Abu Ruhm ibn Abduluzza from the Amir ibn Luayy clan of the Quraysh. Their son was Abu Sabra.[4]

It is not recorded that Barrah ever became a Muslim.[2]
