Barra is a neighbourhood in the extreme southern part of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.It is surrounded by Ratan Lal Nagar in West, Govind Nagar in North and Kidwai Nagar in east and Jarouli in south. Barra is divided into sections such as Barra-2, Barra-3, Barra-4, Barra-5, Barra-6, Barra-7 and Barra World Bank.
Barra has some good schools such as Karam Devi Memorial Academy (KDMA), Delhi Public School (DPS),etc. It is also educational hub of South Kanpur.
