Barnaul Airport (Russian: Аэропорт Барнаул) (IATA: BAX, ICAO: UNBB) (sometimes referred to as Barnaul West or Mikhaylovka or Novomikhaylovka or German Titov airport) is a major airport in Altai Krai, Russia located 15 km west of Barnaul. It contains large facilities and a remote tarmac for military use. The civilian side of the airfield services nine aircraft. The airfield regularly handles medium-sized airliners (such as the Tupolev Tu-154, Tupolev Tu-204, Ilyushin Il-76); and has a cargo center.
Barnaul Airport is named after second Soviet cosmonaut Gherman Titov.[1]
