Barauli is a town and a notified area in Gopalganj district in the state of Bihar, India.
Geography
Barauli is located at 26°24′N 84°35′E / 26.4°N 84.58°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 65 metres (213 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Barauli had a population of 34,643. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Barauli has an average literacy rate of 41%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 64% of the males and 36% of females literate. About 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.there is nation highway crossing beside of brauli.on the view of 2010 election Ramprawesh rai is legislative person of BRAULI.Mahammadpur matiyara is a village located on a river which is a part of Gandak nadi. Matiyara is historical place. there is temple of MAA KALI. We workship there with heart.Here many person who have fight with British government. It has some good old educational institutions like Middle School Barauli which was established in 1926 and High School Barauli in 1943.
