Barany [baˈranɨ] (German Barannen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świętajno, within Olecko County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-west of Olecko and 126 km (78 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
The village has a population of 60.
There is another village named Barany, about 7 km SE of Lipno
