Bansihari (community development block) is an administrative division in Gangarampur subdivision of Dakshin Dinajpur district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Bansihari police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Buniadpur.[1][2]

Bansihari is located at 25°24′00″N 88°25′00″E / 25.4000°N 88.4167°E.

Bansihari community development block has an area of 197.50  km2.[2]

The Tangon River flows through the Bansihari block.[3]

Demographics

As per 2001 census, Bansihari block had a total population of 122,057, out of which 62,536 were males and 59,521 were females. Bansihari block registered a population growth of 24.51 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade. Decadal growth for the district was 22.11 per cent.[2] Decadal growth in West Bengal was 17.84 per cent.[5]
