Bangsamoro creation plebiscite, 2015

The Bangsamoro creation plebiscite is an upcoming plebiscite on the creation and scope of the autonomous Bangsamoro political entity which is set to replace the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. The expected vote is part of the Comprehensive Agreement on Bangsamoro signed in March 2014. The plebiscite is scheduled to be held as early as 2015 before the 2016 Philippine general elections. Residents of the current Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, including the municipalities of Baloi, Munai, Pantar, Nunungan, Tagoloan and Tangcal in Lanao del Norte, 39 barangays in North Cotabato and the cities of Cotabato and Isabela will vote whether they want to be included in the proposed Bangsamoro entity.^[1]
