Bandō (坂東市 Bandō-shi) is a city located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.

As of February 1, 2012, the city has an estimated population of 56,015, with 18,000 households and a population density of 454.74 persons per km². The total area is 123.18 km².

The modern city of Bandō was established on March 22, 2005, from the merger of the city of Iwai, and the town of Sashima (from Sashima District).

Current mayor is Eiichi Yoshihara, who elected by Bando mayor election on April 2009, and former Iwai mayor since April 1978 to April 1994.
