Banca Finnat is one of the leading operators on the Italian Stock Exchange and it is specialised in the provision of investment services to institutional, private and corporate customers.The Bank’s origins date back to 1898 when the company was founded by the Nattino family, initially as a finance company.[1] Banca Finnat then became a brokerage company,a real estate brokerage company and lastly, since 12 February 1998, an intermediary bank. Banca Finnat is today listed in the STAR section of the Borsa Italiana-London Stock Exchange Group.[2][3][4]

Together with the other Group companies, it offers a wide array of products and services ranging from asset management and consultancy to corporate finance, trusteeships, insurance services, real estate and all the traditional banking services.The assets under management of the Banca Finnat Euramerica Group totaled €8.97 billion in June 30, 2014. In 2012 Banca Finnat was awarded with the MF Milano Finanza Global Awards for best Tier 1 capital[5]

Banca Finnat main areas of business are Asset Management and Consultancy, Business Finance,and Real Estate through its subsidiary Investire Immobiliare Sgr. Banca Finnat through Investire Immobiliare Sgr manages the FIP fund, constituted by €3.7 billion of government-occupied properties, owned by Italian banks and institutional investors.[6][7][8] [9][10] In May 2014 Banca Finnat announced that it has signed a letter of intent for a merger of its real estate division with two other real estate management funds. The merger would create a new player in the real estate sector with around 7 billion euros of assets under management.[11][12] The Company, through its subsidiary Finnat Fiduciaria SpA, focuses also on Trustee Services, including registration of investments, administered deposits, asset management, funds and other financial instruments, as well as planning and implementation of household asset administration plans. Mr. Arturo Nattino serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Banca Finnat Euramerica.

History

The origins of the Bank Finnat are linked to the family Nattino and date back to 1898, when Pietro Nattino began the financial activity that was then continued by succeeding generations to the present day. In 1961, with the participation of the Morgan Group,the financial company Euramerica was created and in 1991, with the new law on the SIMs, the Finnat and Euramerica were transformed into a SIM. Over the years, to better meet the diverse needs of the market, the company has developed and consolidated to become Bank in 1998. The company, which retained the familiar feature, over the years specialized in the provision of investment services to institutional clients, private companies, and individuals. Today Banca Finnat counts among its 3,500 clients some of the most prominent business groups in Italy.[13]Following the merger of Bank Finnat with Acqui Terme Demaniali , in 2003 , the Bank considerably increased its equity.

Headquarters and major offices

Palazzo Altieri, the headquarters of Banca Finnat, was designed halfway through the 17th century by the architect Antonio De' Rossi, and subsequently decorated by several artists on the request of Pope Clement X. At the end of the 18th century the building became an important monument to the Roman and International Neoclassicism. It is still regarded today as a fine example of the Baroque architectural and artistic style.In the entrance hall of the Bank the frescoed ceiling portrays the "Apotheosis of Romulus", a piece by Domenico Maria Canuti.[14]
