BancVue is a wholesale financial services company headquartered in Austin, Texas.[2] BancVue sells technology and marketing products to credit unions and small regional banks.[3] One of BancVue's products is the "Kasasa" checking account offered by BancVue's clients, small banks and credit unions.[4] In 2010 BancVue's annual revenue was US$80 million.[5]
Kasasa
Kasasa is a financial services brand owned by BancVue.[6] It provides retail-level checking accounts, savings accounts, and money management tools through community banks and credit unions in the United States. All of its products are free to customers.
The Kasasa brand was created by BancVue in 2009 as a free reward account and scaled marketing strategy for use by community banks and credit unions.[7] The brand creates a shared advertising network that links community financial institutions in order to pool their advertising and marketing resources and compete with megabanks.[8]
Kasasa was designed as part of a strategy for regional community banks and credit unions to brand under a single national product that would compete with large megabanks in what Ron Lieber of the New York Times has called the "checking account wars".[9][10][11][12]
The brand won Best of Show at the 2009 Finovate financial technology conference.[13][14]
