Balvaz

Lasse Johansen (born 25 November 1970), also known as Balvaz, is a Norwegian death metal musician.

Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, he led his own death metal band Balvaz (firstly known as Braindead), where he had played guitar and sung vocals. In 1992, he started the new band, Disgusting, where he took the same place.[1] The band released one full-length album, Shapeshiferbirthblues, in 1995. Some of unreleased Balvaz songs ended up as Disgusting songs.

In 1999, he joined the band Cadaver Inc.[2] led by his old friend Anders Odden as the second guitarist.[3]
