Balvantray Mehta Vidya Bhawan Anguridevi Shersingh Memorial Academy (Hindi: बलवंतराय मेहता विद्या भवन अंगूरी देवी शेर सिंह मेमोरियल अकादमी, abbreviation BMVB ASMA) is a senior-secondary co-educational integrated English-medium public school located in the South district of New Delhi in Greater Kailash-II.[1] The school aims to fulfil the vision and dream of Sher-E- Punjab, Lala Lajpat Rai.[2] The school is graded a model school by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, in the field of integrated and inclusive education.[3]

Affiliation

The school has been recognized as a Senior Secondary school by the Directorate of Education and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education[4] (CBSE), Delhi, and follow the curriculum prescribed by this board and is a member of Servants of the People Society[5](SOPS)

History

The school was established year back before 2000 and got affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 1999. The school is far beyond a colossal structure with walls of segregation, it is treated as a temple of learning, a symbol of unity and affection among the management, parents, staffs and children with and without disabilities. The school adheres to the concepts of Servants of the People Society founded by Lala Lajpat Rai, Sher-e-Punjab that made the school different from other institution in Delhi NRC region.

The school covers an area of three acres which includes playground and the school building. The following infrastructure is offered by the institution[6]-

Extracurricular activity

The school is incessantly devoted to provide the quality education to the scholars by equipping them with skills, confidence and a sense of optimism. The school also organizes Annual Sports meet for special and general students.[7]

Inter-School debate

The school conducts regular debates on various topic. On Friday, 10th December 2013 the school conducted an inter-school debate on UN Anti-Corruption Day in the association with Transparency International India.

House based activities

The students of every classes including the students with disabilities divided into four houses Rana Pratap House, Shivaji House, Chanakya House and Ashoka House. The school conducts inter-house competition and various activities to boost the confidence among the students and teachers as well.

MTNL Perfect Health Mela

MTNL Health Mela is organized by Heart Care Foundation of India with dept. of Health, Govt. of NCT of Delhi and NDMC every year. During this Mela students from the school participates in various activities.

Eco-clubs

The school is a member of Eco Club functioning under the aegis of Department of Environment, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.[8] The Eco club includes the activities-
