Baloch Students Organization

The Baloch Students Organization (BSO) was founded on 26 November 1967, as a student organization in Balochistan, Pakistan . The main objectives of the organization are to organize and educate Baloch youth politically. It is the largest ethnic Baloch student body in the country, which was banned by Government of Pakistan in 2013 since it was involved in terrorism.

Organizational structure

BSO is currently divided into three factions, BSO (Pajjar), BSO (Mengal) and BSO (Azad).

BSO (Mangal), led by Muhiudeen Baloch, has affiliated itself with the Balochistan National Party (BNP) who is currently biggest opposition party in Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. BSO (Mangal) believes in the right of Brahui speaking Balochs in central Balochistan within the parliamentary framework of Pakistan.

BSO (Pajjar), led by Ameen Baloch, has affiliated itself with the National Party (NP) who is currently ruling Baluchistan. BNP believe in more provincial rights and greater autonomy for Baluchistan province within the parliamentary framework of Pakistan.

The third faction BSO (Azad), which was founded by ex-chairman Dr Allah Nazar Baloch in 2001, is led by Banuk Karima Baloch.[1]
