Ballard is a locality in the Lockyer Valley Region, Queensland, Australia. It is located 11 kilometres (7 mi) east from the Toowoomba city centre.
History
The locality, historically known as Ballaroo, is named for Robert Ballard, a railway engineer who oversaw the construction of part of the Ipswich–Toowoomba railway.[2]
