The Bakalov is a Bulgarian assault rifle of bullpup configuration, named for its creator Georgi Delchev Bakalov.
It consists of 72 pieces, many of which based on the Kalashnikov design, reconfigured as a bullpup rifle.
The firearm is chambered for several Warsaw Pact cartridges, such as the 7.62×39mm, as well as the 5.56×45mm NATO and 7.62×51mm NATO cartridges.
The Bakalov is able to propel a 40mm rifle grenade.
