Bajirao Singham is an Indian fictional character from the film series Singham and Singham Returns. The character is portrayed by Ajay Devgan.[1][2][3][4][5]
Overview
Singham
Bajirao Singham, an honest and dutiful inspector of Shivgarh village helps to solve crimes with understanding and friendships. His life turns upside down when he encounters a powerful don named Jaikant Shikre. Bajirao then finds his way to escape the clutches of Shikre and his political traps.
Singham Returns
After finishing Jaikant Shikre, Bajirao is promoted as DCP Bajirao Singham and transferred to Mumbai. Bajirao now faces his new nemesis, Satya Prakash Chandar, a fake godman and a criminal. Twist takes place when Singham is torn between reputation of his deceased colleague and his duty towards department.

Marketing space
Many merchandises of Singham were made available as source of promotion, including T-shirts, school bags, keychains, lunchboxes, caps, and water bottle cases. In addition, Tata Motors also made a tie up with the film franchise.[6][7][8] Singham was under investigation of piracy, Delhi High Court, upon Reliance Entertainment's request, issued an order to all Indian ISPs to block file sharing sites to prevent piracy.[9] An animated short video of Ajay as Singham was launched as promotion of the film as well as to raise voices against social apathy.[10]
In media
Devgn posed as Bajirao during the grand finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi 5 to promote Singham Returns.[11] In the film Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, actor Tusshar Kapoor chooses Bajirao Singham as his role model.[12] Singham also made a cameo appearance in Indian telenovela C.I.D.[13] Singham's mascot was also used to promote Pro Kabaddi League.[14]
