Bagh-e-Quaid-e-Azam

Bagh-e-Quaid-e-Azam (Urdu: باغ قائد اعظم ) (Formerly Polo Ground) is located on Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road and Aiwan-e-Sadar Road in Karachi, Pakistan. The park is spread over of 20 acres and has a football ground, Japanese garden, Children's recreation area, and jogging tracks. A Baradari is also located there.[1]

History

Bagh-e-Quaid-e-Azam has historic significance that the venue of the first march past after Independence was held there and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah took the salute as the first Governor General of Pakistan. This park was used as Polo ground before the 1970s.
