Badhan clan
The Badhan are a gotra (clan) of Jats found in the Gujrat and Sialkot districts of Punjab, Pakistan, and the Mirpur District and Poonch District of Azad Kashmir.
History & origin
The Badhan claim descent from the Saroa Rajputs. Kala, their ancestor left Jammu, and settled in Sialkot. From Sialkot they spread to Gujrat, and eventually Mirpur.[1]
In Poonch District, some of the tribe also claim connection with the Sudhans. They share a few villages with the Sudhans in Poonch.
Religion
Like other Jat clans of the region, the Badhan are Muslim.
