Badarpur (Hindi: दिल्ली मेट्रो बदरपुर) is an elevated station on the Violet Line of the Delhi Metro. It is located after Tughlakabad station and is the terminal station on the line. The station was opened on January 14, 2011, as part of the Sarita Vihar—Badarpur section of the line, and situated in Badarpur, Delhi locality close to the interstate border between the city of Faridabad in Haryana and Delhi and sees a large daily ridership owing to this fact. Under the phase III of the Delhi Metro Network the violet line will undergo a southbound extension towards Faridabad. The construction work is in the last phase and the metro is likely to be operational to YMCA Chowk in the first phase (2014 End) and in the second phase till Ballabhgarh (2017) The Nine stations approved for the faridabad extension are :

Currently Badarpur Metro Station faces huge crowd gathering only because it acts as a termini between Delhi and Faridabad. After the completion of Phase III Network and extension of services till Faridabad, this station will see far less congestion as it witnesses today. .[1]
