The song was included on the group's first Japanese album Girls' Generation on June 1, 2011.
The first teaser video for "Bad Girl" was released on August 9, 2011[1] and the music video was released on August 11, 2011.[2] The MV was released to celebrate their fourth anniversary since debut and the success of their first Japanese album Girls' Generation.
Music video
The music video was released on August 11, 2011. It starts with shots of Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung getting off large bikes. For this Music Video SNSD comeback as "Black Soshi" flaunting their “dark side” and their sexiness. The MV was shot in a dark parking garage and their clothes are dark and sexy.
Promotions
The song was performed on The First Japan Arena Tour and on 2011 Girls' Generation Tour. The song's first television performance was on Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ on July 18, 2011.[3]
