BMGN: Low Countries Historical Review, initially Bijdragen en Mededelingen betreffende de Geschiedenis der Nederlanden (Contributions and Communications regarding the History of the Low Countries), is an open-access academic journal for the history of the Low Countries, which is taken to include the Netherlands and Belgium and their colonial and international involvements. It is published by the Royal Netherlands Historical Society (Koninklijk Nederlands Historisch Genootschap), with articles appearing either in Dutch or in English.
The journal was formed in 1969 by the merger of two older publications: Bijdragen en Mededeelingen van het Historisch Genootschap (which began publication in 1877) and Bijdragen voor de Geschiedenis der Nederlanden (which began publication in 1946). The first issue of BMGN was numbered 83, following on from volume 82 (1968) of the Bijdragen en Mededelingen van het Historisch Genootschap.
The title BMGN: Low Countries Historical Review was adopted in 2012, when the journal also began open-access publication.
