The BIT International College, formerly the Bohol Institute of Technology or BIT , is a private, non-sectarian, co-educational tertiary institution of higher learning in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines.
The school was founded by University of Bohol alumnus Atty. Dionisio Balite together with his wife Dr. Lilia Balite in 1981.
It offers various college courses, primary and secondary education. It is situated along 100 Gallares Street, and has branches in the towns of Talibon, Jagna, Carmen in Bohol and even in the province of Siquijor and in Butuan City.
Philosophy of education
The BIT International College is an educational institution that aims to develop the total personality and uphold the dignity of man through responsible parents, dedicated and committed faculty and staff to achieve quality education based on Christian principles to produce God-loving, nationalistic, self-reliant and useful citizens.
Vision
The BIT International College envisions to provide relevant academic and technical knowledge and skills among its students. It aims to produce an individual who can critically think, create and act positively, a productive Christian citizen-worker who can contribute his/her share in the world of work and the community where he/she lives in.
Mission
The BIT International College is geared towards the pursuit of a better quality of life for all through the acquisition of knowledge and values and the formation of skills necessary to make the individual a productive member of the society. It aims to accelerate the development of high – level professional to advance the frontiers of knowledge and provide leadership in the various disciplines required by the dynamic and self – sustained economy.
The BIT International College shall likewise be utilized to harness the productivity of the country’s human resource base towards local, national and international excellence.
