BIG MAGIC, the flagship Hindi comedy entertainment channel from RBN[3] offers viewers the best mix of light entertainment. History
The channel derives huge synergies with RBN's already well-established radio brand - BIG FM 92.7, the leading radio network, which together offer a unique advertising platform to brands and combined with holistic properties executed in the region, deliver incomparable value to advertisers.
India
The channel was launched in India on April 4, 2011 by Reliance Broadcast Network, under the stewardship of CEO Tarun Katial.[4] BIG Magic is a general entertainment channel featuring regional available across Hindi speaking markets of India. The company has also launched BIG Magic Ganga with specially created programming for the Bihar and Jharkhand region.[5] BIG Magic has also expanded into the United States, Canada and Australia under the brand name BIG Magic INTERNATIONAL.
BIG MAGIC the flagship national Hindi general entertainment channel from the Reliance Broadcast Network stable is positioned as the one stop destination for humor. With the tag line Chatpata Har Pal – the Channel offers a comical line up of hilarious sitcoms, a side splitting historical comedy, laugh out loud weekend specials, festive specials and comedy blockbuster films. The Channel was initially launched for the Uttar Pradesh market in the year 2011, offering entertainment that resonated with people from the region and soon grew to be an audience favorite and a leading player of UP. Earlier this year in April 2014, BIG Magic was re-launched as a national comedy entertainment channel with India’s first Historical Comedy – Har Mushkil ka Hal, Akbar Birbal. BIG Magic’s value proposition of clutter breaking and fresh content in the humor space, is largely responsible for the success, that the Channel has seen in a short span of time. With a strong reach across 85 million Indian households, the Channel has demonstrated a 122 per cent viewership growth over the last six months alone.
