BC Strumica 2005

Not to be confused with KK Strumica.

KK Strumica (Macedonian: Струмица 2005) was a Macedonian basketball club based in Strumica. It was founded in 1991 under the name Makedonija '91. At one point it was also called Polo Trejd. After a change in leadership in 2005, Pajanotis Karapiperis becomes president and forms a strong club by bringing in significant players to the team. They become champions of the Macedonian First League in the 2007/2008 season and were two time finalists in the Macedonian Cup. After the transitional summer period the club canceled its participation in the Macedonian Basketball League and the newly formed Balkan League due to financial crisis which folded yet another basketball team (Nemetali Ograzden being the other) from Strumica.[1]
