BBC Multimedia was a division of BBC and was a video game publisher and developer which dealt with the publishing of computer-game versions of well-known BBC television programmes. More recently, video games, such as Doctor Who: The Adventure Games, have been published by BBC Worldwide. The Multimedia division was founded in 1982 as BBC Software and was renamed BBC Multimedia in 1995.[1] The company was shut down in 2005 after sales declined in its boxed product business.[2]
