Azizur Rahman (film director)

Azizur Rahman is a Bangladeshi film director, cinematographer, art director and screenwriter. He started his career as an assistant director of the film "E Desh Tomar Amar". He made his directorial debut in 1967 with "Saiful Mulk Badiuzzaman". He was the director of SAARC joint venture movies. Some of his hits were Chhutir Ghanta(1980)and "Osshikhito"(1978). He won National Awards for each of them. Chhutir Ghanta is known for a scintillating performance by child artist Shumon in the lead role. Azizur Rahman has directed a grand total of 53 films. Education

Azizur graduated in 1958 with a diploma in Fine Arts from Charukala Institute, Dhaka.
