Azfar Jafri (Urdu: اظفر جعفری) is a Pakistani film director, editor and screenwriter. He is best known for his Independent film Siyaah which earned him a critical recognition and accolades including a nomination of ARY Film Award for Best Director at 1st ARY Film Awards.[1][2]

Career

Azfar is an IT engineer of a major in telecommunication engineering. In order to become a filmmaker he started his career as a Video/Sound Editor in a small production studio and stepped in to a CG industry and serve as a 3D Character Animator at Trango, which led him to studied the technologies used in films for visual effects. He has directed several television commercials for both local and international clients, including Lexus, Scion, Nike, UPS & Mobilink-BlackBerry.

Azfar's independent projects lead him to his first feature film, Siyaah. Directed by Him, produced by Imran Raza Kazmi, a young entrepreneur and film enthusiast, produced it and story by Osman Khalid Butt.[3]
