Ayacucho is a city on the middle east of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina; head town of Ayacucho Partido. The city is located on the banks of the arroyo Tandileoufú. Agriculture and ranching are central to the economy, along with agrotourism.
Name
The town is named after the Battle of Ayacucho which took place on December 9, 1824. The settlement was founded on June 22, 1866 by Zoilo Miguens.
