Axinandra zeylanica is a species of plant in the Crypteroniaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka, where locally known as "pol hunna - පොල් හුන්න".
Leaves
large, lanceolate-oblong, subcordate base, acuminate to acute apex, veins prominent beneath with intermarginal pair.
Trunk
Bark - smooth, pale brown; branches numerous, straight, drooping almost to base; twigs with 4 stipular wings at nodes.
Flowers
white, very small, disagreeable odour; Inflorescence - lax, slender, stalked, axillary and terminal racemes.
Fruits
blackish brown, ovoid, woody, dehiscent capsule; seeds winged.
