Andreas Schuller (known by his stage name as Axident) is a Norwegian songwriter and music producer based in the United States.[1] He has worked with artists such as Inna, Jason Derulo, and the Far East Movement.[2][3] He currently writes and produces songs for both Universal Music Group and his own label Snowballers Entertainment which he founded with Ray Kay.[4] He also founded Honua Music publishing company along with Ron Moss

Early life and education

Axident was born in Drøbak, Norway in 1985. When he was younger, he made theme music for high school graduations. In the mid 2000s, he began to focus on the study of music, attending and earning a degree from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.[4]

Career

Axident began recording and producing songs during his college days. He took the name Axident as he stated that he does a lot by accident and believes that music comes from letting go of boundaries and the process of trial and error.[5] Axident came to the United States in 2010 to pursue his music career.[1] He stayed with a friend in Nashville, Tennessee who had a connection to Ron Moss of Universal Music Group.[5] After providing Moss with a few recordings that he had done, Axident went to Los Angeles to work on a few projects for Universal.[1] While recording, he used to keep the door to the studio open so that others could hear the music. He was visited in the studio by Tricky Stewart who was recording music for American Idol down the hallway from where Axident was recording.[5]

After meeting Stewart, Axident began writing and recording songs for artists such as Esther Dean, Semi Precious Weapons, Wallpaper, and Far East Movement.[2] His song Turn Up the Love, recorded by the Far East Movement, became a top 10 song in 10 different countries and is included in the tracks on the video game Just Dance 2014.[6][7]
