Axel Rodrigues de Arruda, commonly known simply as Axel (born January 9, 1970 in Santos, Brazil) is a Brazilian football player.

Axel previously played for Santos Futebol Clube, São Paulo Futebol Clube, Clube Atlético Paranaense, Sport Club do Recife, Paraná Clube and Figueirense Futebol Clube in the Campeonato Brasileiro.[1]
