Axel Bachmann Schiavo (born November 4, 1989, in Ciudad del Este) is a Paraguayan chess player who holds the Grandmaster title.[1] As of June 2014 he has a FIDE rating of 2619 and he is the top rated player from Paraguay.
Career
He played for Paraguay in four Chess Olympiads.
- In 2004, at second board in 36th Chess Olympiad in Calvia(+5 -5 =2)
- In 2006, at third board in 37th Chess Olympiad in Turin (+6 -2 =4)
- In 2008, at first board in 38th Chess Olympiad in Dresden (+4 -4 =2)
- In 2012, at first board in 40th Chess Olympiad in Istanbul (+5 -3 =2).
