Avaneeswaram S R Vinu (Malayalam: ആവണീശ്വരം എസ് ആര് വിനു) (born 10 June 1973) is an Indian Violin player (Carnatic style).
Early life and background
Avaneeswaram S R Vinu was born to Avaneeswaram.N Ramachandran(Rtd.Principal of R.L.V music college Thripunithura) and Sahithi Devi in Trivandrum, Kerala.His grand father late Avaneeswaram.K.Krishna Pillai was a renowned Nagaswaram player. Vinu started learning violin from his father at the age of six who himself was a musician.after that he got training from the violinist Prof. Kilimanur Thyagarajan. Later he underwent higher studies in violin from Maestro Mysore M Nagaraj (from the 1992 till 1997).
Musical career
Vinu is one of the sought after accompanying violinists. He has performed all over the world with many leading musicians including Padmavibhushan Dr. M Balamuralikrishna, Padmabhushan Dr. K. J. Yesudas, Madurai T. N. Seshagopalan, Sanjay Subrahmanyan, Aswathi Thirunal Rama Varma, Padmabhushan T. V. Sankaranarayanan, Dr. N. Ramani, Shashank, T K Govindarao, Neyyattinkara Vasudevan, T. V. Gopalakrishnan, Trichur Ramachandran,O.S.Thyagarajan,Mavelikkara Prabhakara Varma, P. Unni Krishnan,Malladi Brothers, S. Sowmya, Bombay Jayashri, Vijayalekshmi Subrahmanian, Prof. Parassala B Ponnammal, Dr. K Omanakutty etc.Vinu has toured,and has performed in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Sweden, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE and Qatar.

Vinu is an 'A TOP' grade artiste of All India Radio and Doordarsan.

He has received the Senior Scholarship from Department of Culture, Government of India in 1998.
He was the winner in Violin at Kerala State school Youth Festival in 1988.
He has played on various cassettes and CDs including Charsur, Manorama audios, Intreco etc.
Personal life
Vinu is married to Dr.S.Aswathy Vinu, who is an A grade vocalist in All India Radio. The couple has two kids, Gayathri Nandana and Gautham Sanker.
