Austria is scheduled to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016.
Sailing

Austria has qualified one boat for each of the following events upon receiving a place from the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.[1]
- Men's two-person dinghy – 470 (Matthias Schmid & Florian Reichstädter)
- Men's skiff – 49er (Nico Delle-Karth & Nikolaus Resch)
- Women's two-person dinghy – 470 (Lara Vadlau & Jolanta Ogar)
- Mixed multihull – Nacra 17 (Thomas Zajac & Tanja Chiara Frank)
Swimming

Austrian swimmers have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following events (up to a maximum of 2 swimmers in each event at the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT), and potentially 1 at the Olympic Selection Time (OST)):[2][3]
