VTAM has qualified for the 2010 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship,[1] to be held in Italy, qualifying through the Asian confederation. They are in group C, along with powerhouse Russia, Puerto Rico and Cameroon. They lost all games and finished in 19th place.
VTAM made a single appearance at in the FIVB World League in 1999, but the financial ramifications of the event has not seen them compete again in that competition .
