Austin School of Film

The Austin School of Film, also known as the Austin Film School, is a non-profit film teaching institute located on E. Cesar Chavez Street in Austin, Texas.[1] The Austin School of Film started in 2003 with the merging of the Austin Cinemaker Co-op (founded 1996) and the Center for Young Cinema (founded 1999).[2] The goal of the school is to educate, train, and develop emerging artists of all ages to be active participants in shaping our culture. The school offers a range of classes from animation, video game, and web design to software training to film and video production. They also offer a Digital Video Certificate Program to verify a student's knowledge of skills taught.[3]
