Attibele is a border and panchayat town in Anekal taluk, Bangalore Urban district in the Indian state of Karnataka, India. The Karnataka-Tamil Nadu checkpost border is situated here, which is marked by an arch. It is 32 km from Bangalore and 8 km from Hosur and Anekal on NH 7. Kannada, Tamil and Telugu are commonly used languages here.

The town is well connected by both BMTC buses (Routes 360 series, 600F, 328) and KSRTC buses from Bangalore and TNSTC town buses (Routes 6A, 6B, 41, 42, 35, 35A and 10) from Hosur, as well as many private buses from both the cities. Attibele is home for most manufacturing and textile industries. Automobile giants of India, TVS Motors and Ashok Leyland (both in Hosur) are very near to this town.

A small village until the 1990s transformed into a town after the NH7 was widened under "Golden Quadrilateral" project. The place was earlier also referred to as "Oudumbapuri" as found in some of the scripts available. Attibele has a theatre (Gowrishankar) as early as 1942 which was the first in the region. The place is also famous for some of the temples which are famous for certain festivals.

Goddess "Patalamma" temple which is the deity of the village has great giant statue of demon which also act a supporting pillar for the temple.Annual ritual of "Karaga" is celebrated at this temple. Shiva temple which is a very old temple was recently renovated. Annual "Rathotsava" at the temple is celebrated for 10 days ending with procession of the GOD in the main streets of the town. Lord Venkateshwara temple which is also one of the oldest temple is famous for annual celebration of "Kannada Rajyotsava", "Pongal/Sankrathi" which is celebrated as "Deepotsava". Also "Vaikunta Ekadashi " & "Ugadi" are celebrated with much fanfare. Attibele is an industrial hub and the Attibele industrial area encompasses other villages in the vicinity such as Yadavanahalli, Icchangur, Balagaranahalli, Krishnasagara and Neralur.
